Meet Our Staff

Here at Faith Baptist, we have a great team of people who are willing to help you live, grow and serve as a Christian. Alongside of our Leadership Team, we have a great group of coordinators who head up teams and encourage our belief in team ministry, encouraging everyone who is willing to discover how God can use them for His glory. 

  • Lead Pastor - Rev. Rob jones

    Pastor Rob has been in ministry for 25 years. Originally from the UK, he has pastored 5 churches on two continents and has been involved in church planting. Rob has a passion to equip the people of God for radical Christian living in today's world. He has written a number of books and has also been involved in Christian radio and tv. Pastor Rob is also station manager of CICB 90.7 Praise FM Cape Breton. He is married to Gida and has six children. 

  • Youth Pastor -

    Victor Temmy Isaac

    Victor is from Nigeria and trained in youth and family ministry at both Boyce College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also held youth pastor positions in Nigeria in a Nigerian Baptist Church. Victor in married to Angel and has a daughter.  

  • Church Administrator - 

    Glenna MacDougall

    Glenna has lived on the Island of Cape Breton for most of her life. She has been the church administrator for over 20 years. With her friendly smile and knowledge of the church, Glenna is a great point of contact for people new to the church.

  • Deacon - Frank Mackley

    Frank has been an active member of Faith Baptist for 30 years. As a local business man for 50 years Frank has been an important part of Island life. Alongside of being a deacon, Frank is also CEO of Praise FM, Cape Breton's Christian Radio Station. He has been married for 45 years, has three grown up children and four wonderful grandchildren.

  • Deacon and FIRE CHAPLAIN - REV. IAN DIXON

    Ian is a very compassionate man whose passion is to serve the Lord. He was born, raised and educated in the UK.. he has traveled and lived in many places throughout his lifetime but always sought to serve the Lord wherever he goes. Ian has served as associate Pastor in past churches, been a missionary in Africa and is currently a FEBC Chaplain serving as a spiritual support in Cape Breton Fire Brigade. He is happily married to Pat.  .

Leadership Structure

Faith Baptist believes in different expressions of leadership and accountability within the local church.

Leadership Team :- Our Leadership Team is made up of both deacons and elders / pastors. We meet for prayer, vision development and to deal with both the practical and spiritual needs of our community. 

Coordinators - Are appointed to oversee different ministries within the church. They are there to develop team ministry and to move the churches life and ministry forward in the particular area the coordinator serves in. 

Members Meeting - With a congregational model of governance, members of the church share in the decision making processes regarding our vision and appointment of leaders, by involvement in members meetings. These meetings are an opportunity for us to pray together, discern what God is saying to us and make decisions in a transparent, united and godly way.
